Mind Strengthening Bad Ass Brownies!
BROWNIES THAT ARE GOOD FOR YOUR BRAIN!
I made these for my family's July 4th BBQ and they were a hit! Even my sister-in-law's teenage nieces finished them off!
Not only are they gluten and dairy free, but they contain 4 brain strengthening ingredients! Three of which are considered genius foods by best selling author and journalist Max Lugavere and by memory expert Jim Kwik: avocados, eggs and dark chocolate!
Not in the top 10, but plantains are amazing too! When cooked, plantains are 24% Vitamin B6 and according to Dr. Axe, B6 generates neurotransmitters that carry information from one cell to another. Better connections=stronger brain!
A chocolate dessert that helps our brain function!!!! This is bad ass!
Start first with making the plantain batter aka your flour....
*Note this is 4 bananas not 2. You will have half the amount.
Add to blender 1 avocado, 2 eggs, 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil, 1/2 cup raw cacao powder, 4-5 tbsp maple syrup, 1/2 tsp baking powder, 1/2 tsp baking soda, and 1/2 tsp sea salt. Blend till smooth.
Bake at 350 until toothpick runs through. Depends on strength of your oven. Mine is a very basic oven so it took 30-40 minutes.

I use ENJOY LIFE mini chips. Dairy and soy free!
I baked mine because I was nervous it wasn't cooked through, but it ended up giving the brownies a nice glossy finish from the melted chocolate and caramel sauce mixed together!
