
Basil is in season and who doesn't love a good pesto! You can use pestos as a spread, dip or more like a sauce as I've used it in this dish.
A new product has hit my grocery store shelves, hearts of palm linguine! It's basically calorie free and so easy to prepare. Each bag only serves one or 2 people, but by adding lots of vegetables to it you can stretch it out more. Although I don't see this being a pasta kids would enjoy, it is a very sophisticated one for us adults and tastes great coated with a pesto along with other Mediterranean zesty vegetables and shrimp. This is truly a heart healthy, brain friendly dish!
